UCOP Policy Update: Flu and COVID-19 vaccination reporting is no longer required for most UCR employees under UCOP's revised Policy on Vaccination Programs. You may follow CDPH recommendations or choose not to vaccinate without submitting an attestation or formal declination. Vaccination remains strongly recommended.
Action Required: Healthcare Workers & CECE Staff Only If you are a healthcare worker or staff at the Center for Early Childhood Education (CECE, subject to CA Health & Safety Code § 1596.7995, SB 792), you must submit your flu vaccination proof or a formal declination between October 15 and December 15, 2026. (Note: Stricter state/local public health orders override this policy where applicable.)
On October 15, eligible staff will receive an automated email from noreply@ehsoh.ucr.edu. Follow the link and log in with your UCR credentials to:
- Report: Upload proof of this season's flu vaccine in the EMR portal, or
- Decline: Formally decline (where permitted). Additional safety protocols (e.g., masking requirements) will be provided upon declining.
Healthcare Worker Notes:
- New Hires (after 12/15/26): Must comply within 14 days of hire (through 5/1/27).
- 100% Remote Staff: Documented 100% remote healthcare staff in UCPath are exempt from reporting and will not receive reminders.
- Student Workers: Student workers in healthcare settings and CECE do not use the EMR portal; their compliance is managed directly through Student Health.
