Sandra Kim
Vice Chancellor & Chief Financial Officer
Finance and Administration
August 28, 2026

I am writing to share several important organizational updates regarding Finance and Administration, formerly known as Planning, Budget, and Administration.

Campus Procurement and Real Estate Services

Effective September 1, Procurement Services, including Business Contracts, and Real Estate Services will come together to form a new unified division: Campus Procurement and Real Estate Services, under the leadership of Jeremy Meadows, UCR’s Chief Procurement Officer.

As part of this change, Procurement Services will move from Business & Financial Services to the new division and will report directly to me. Business & Financial Services will continue to lead the university’s core financial, accounting, and related administrative functions.

The two divisions will remain closely aligned, recognizing the important connections among Procure-to-Pay, financial systems, contracting, and the university’s broader financial operations.

In addition, Faculty Housing will move from Real Estate Services to Auxiliary Services, reporting to Heidi Scribner, Associate Vice Chancellor for Auxiliary Services.

Associate Vice Chancellor, Financial Planning & Analysis

We are also pleased to announce the upcoming search for an Associate Vice Chancellor for Financial Planning & Analysis (AVC, FP&A).

This new leadership role will be instrumental in advancing the university’s integrated financial strategy, long-range planning, and institutional resource allocation. The AVC will serve as a key partner to executive leadership, strengthening our financial analytical capabilities and supporting sustainable, data-informed financial decision-making across the institution.

We look forward to launching the recruitment soon and will share additional information as the search progresses.

Thank you for your continued partnership and support as we strengthen and evolve our Finance and Administration organization.
